Every year in January, students are excited to prepare for the Salem College Fine Arts Center Winter Exhibit. It is a formal ocassion where students have art hanging in a gallery/museum space. Students and their families are invited to attended a reception with a guest speaker and often musical performances. This year, Jan Detter, a local artist and professor, spoke, and Superintendent, Dr. Donald Martin, was also in attendance to the event. Diggs-Latham had 5 students with art in this special show. Congratulations to 3rd grader, Bryan, 2nd grader, Eric, 5th graders, Jade and Alicia, and 4th grader, Nicci. I, Mrs. Gordon the art teacher, was honored to have two of our students in attendance, who were also recognized on stage.
